about me

I was born and raised in a small French Canadian community by the river. I am a 2020 graduate with a Bachelor of Honours in English Language and Literature from the University of Ottawa. I’ve spent the last few years as a store manager and freelance editor. Now, I am seeking out a job in translation!
My love of books started during a lunch break in Middle School when I was escaping an overly hot afternoon to reap the air conditioning of my school’s library. Absentmindedly perusing the shelves, I was pulled in by the glossy cover of a Goosebumps novel.
Who knew killer globs and reanimated skeletons would lead to me writing books about sweet elderly witches, cottages, and tea times?
When I’m not writing, you can find me buying out every lemon square at a farmer’s market, watching soap opera reruns with my grandma, or attempting to improve my questionable painting skills.
My fiction:
The Forgotten Inn

Adult, 81,000 words
After four centuries sequestered in her cottage delivering prophecies to heroes, Galandria the Witch is tired of being treated like the evil old crones from fairytales.
Apparently giving a hero the coordinates to the sword that’ll save the world won’t stop them from stealing her cakes and trampling her garden on their way out. Her sudden retirement sends her far from home and, most importantly, away from entitled heroes. Soon, the unexpected revelation that her estranged sister has died sends Galandria on a journey in her footsteps, wanting to piece together her sister’s life after they were separated as children.
In her shoes, she becomes the innkeeper to a secret, sentient place that houses those forgotten by the world. Navigating a magic kitchen with a knack for retrieving leftovers and rooms that change their contents faster than she changes clothes, Galandria meets new and old guests with stories to tell, including a handsome but infuriating guest who is determined to stay forgotten for good. As she opens herself to them, forming friendships as sweet as they are fleeting, entangling herself in a forbidden romance, and unraveling her sister’s past, she begins to wonder if being forgotten by the wrong people is such a bad thing.
Maybe it leads to where you belong.
